Aside from work, I’ve also been busy with Christmas parties and decorating the house :) I’ve been telling my parents how dead our house looks compared to other people who started putting up Christmas decors since end of November. I didn’t think they’d tell me to work on it, but yeah. I’m still not done, but our tree’s now up and alive, and so are the decors on the window by the dining area and the stairs :)

Men at work.

This is what I’ve been busy with since I started working last October. And no, I’m not an engineer nor anything close to being an engineer or a factory worker of some sort. My line of expertise is very far from that. Haha! I have been working on a company video and I’ve been privileged enough to meet people from this line of work. And may I just add that this experience continues to humble me. I guess I can say that this is something I’m going to treasure since it definitely helped me step out of my comfort zone. :)

On the second day, aside from diving, my family also joined a sunset cruise around the island. We saw this small island in the middle of the ocean, with some trees beside some rock formations. It was very beautiful :)

Night life at the island.

During our first night (Halloween), Club Paradise prepared a ~~little~~ huge Halloween celebration for the guests, which included a little party after dinner. It was very chill actually. And since we were on an island, and the electricity was limited, the sky was filled with stars and it was just so beautiful. It reminded me of how much I love being away from Manila because sometimes I can’t help but get tired of the busy streets with lights all over the place. Don’t get me wrong though, I love Manila for various reasons :)

I really miss the food, the vibe, the view, the breeze, and everything else that comes with this island. One of the best places I’ve ever been to! :)

Hey wow, you were on Genfest 2012? :D I was there too with my czech group, it was wonderful experience :) I can see you was on Streetlight, yeah, itś great musical, I was a part of this musical in October 2011, when Gen Rosso visited our school and they did with us this musical and I´m still in contact with them, they are great guys...even thanks a lot for video and some photos, really beautiful, I would like to repeat this experience again :D So hope too hear from you and have a nice day, Helča

Hey! Sorry it took me a while to answer. I was pretty busy during the long weekend :) And yes, I went to the genfest this year :) It really was a wonderful experience, and hopefully there will be another one in five years just like before :) And it’s awesome that you’re still in contact with the Gen Rosso and that you were able to take part in their musical last year :) Some of my friends were able to perform with them in their Streetlight concert :) Have a nice day too! :)

After the 15-minute jeep ride going to the dock, we sailed through the fresh waters and stopped at an estuary where another boat was waiting for us. The boat we were riding was meant for fresh waters only so we literally had to transfer from one boat to another in the middle of that estuary with no dock or anything. These little adventures sometimes surprise me.

This week has been very busy for me. Rendering and exporting different files here and there. I feel like my hard drive and my mac needs a vacation or something. I have another presentation tomorrow and I’m still working on it so I decided to buy myself some Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks for some motivation (also so I won’t get tempted to nap in the afternoon). I just finished one of my projects yesterday and hopefully there will be no more changes.

One thing I’ve learned about life ever since I started working — you gotta love your job and be happy with what you’re doing. You need money to survive, but it’s the things that you do that feed your soul. :)

On the way to an island getaway.

My family and I started this month by going to Palawan and spending the weekend on an island. This picture was taken while we were riding an airconditioned jeep on the way to a small dock where a boat was waiting for us. Forgive me for that black thing on the lower right corner - it was the driver’s shoulder. Haha!

Anyways, more pictures to come in the next few days. I miss Palawan so bad, I can’t wait for another getaway like this.
